The prime solution for pipes
Designed, developed and manufactured in Germany, Primus Line® is an innovative technology for the transfer of a variety of fluids, including freshwater, produced water, and oil and gas products. This technology is applicable for both the trenchless rehabilitation of existing lines, and the transfer of fluids via an overland flexible pipe. The two part system is based on a flexible, high-pressure composite pipe and a specialized, flange-style connecting technology developed specifically for this application.
Traditionally, the Primus Line® range of products have been used by municipalities and public institutions for the trenchless rehabilitation of pressurized pipelines such as water lines. Primus Line’s® unique design, featuring a polyethylene outer sheath and either a polyethylene or a thermal polyurethane inner sheath for hydrocarbon fluid transfer, extruded through a seamless Kevlar aramid fabric braid, provides the system with industry leading strength and unmatched durability.
Recently however, the Primus Line® product has found interest in the oil and gas industry for its ability to safely and reliably transfer produced and flowback water. Historically, produced and flowback waters have predominantly been transferred via HDPE pipe, steel pipe, or trucked off-site during the plant upgrading and hydraulic fracturing processes. As an alternative, the Primus Line® is both portable and temporary in its application.
With the advent of Primus Line®, E&P firms now have an environmentally sound and economically viable alternative for the transfer of their produced water assets. Whether pumping flowback water between frac sites or pumping produced water from a plant, the Primus Line® exceeds all other above-ground layflat hoses on the market today and offers a cost competitive alternative for the handling of produced water.
