Maxx North America Services Ltd. Is looking to hire motivated, capable, and qualified Site Superintendents to work within our growing Pipeline Construction Services division.

Reporting to the Construction Division Project Manager, the ideal candidate will have a background in Oil &Gas, pipeline integrity, and civil construction, with experience in supervision, inspection, and coordination of construction activities.

The role is based in Edmonton with required travel to Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– On-site implementation and monitoring of Maxx’s HSE programs.
– Lead tailgate safety meetings with company and/or third-party contractor employees.
– Oversee site crews, including operators, swampers, labourers, and contractors.
– Liaise with Pipeline Construction PM/CM to ensure work is being carried out according to scope.
– Supervise excavation/construction activities on site, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, within budget and in accordance with Maxx’s safety policies.
– Assess manpower, equipment and material needs for each work scope.
– Data entry via Maxx’s proprietary ‘Pathways’ field ticketing software.
– Ensure QA/QC documentation is properly completed and submitted from the field.
– Train/mentor junior field staff.

 

Skills and Experience:

– Minimum of 5 years’ experience, with 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
– High school diploma or equivalent is required, C.E.T. or eligibility to become a C.E.T an asset.
– Deep knowledge of and experience with pipeline operations + oil and gas industry.
– Strong familiarity with pipeline integrity digs and ROW reclamation.
– Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
– Valid industry safety tickets: H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance, BSO, CSTS ’09.
– Strong computer skills: able to operate laptop and Microsoft Office suite of products
– Willing and able to learn, develop and train new or junior employees.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude is a MUST.
